Bernina Zip Foot

BERNINA ZIP FOOT

Bernina Zip Foot

Bernina Foot No. 4

Zipper insertion is made easy with this especially designer foot. You can also use Foot#4 for making and attaching pipings, welting and attaching snap tape. The “centered toe” of this foot rides close to the zipper coil while holding the fabric and zipper tape in contact with the feed dog. The notches on each side of the foot provide excellent fabric control aroundethe needle and help eliminate skipped stitches when sewing in zippers. At the same time, they allow the needle to stitch “just inside the edge” of the foot, for better precision. Note: This foot requires that the “far left” or “far right” needle positions be used.

Fits all the older Berninas from 530 to 1530 including the lastest 1008

Bernina Wide Gathering Foot

BERNINA WIDE GATHERING FOOT

Bernina Wide Gathering Foot

Bernina Foot No. 16

Gathering is easy with the right foot! Use the Wide Gathering Foot #16 to gather single layers of fabric in all fabric types. The slot of the foot allows the gathering of one piece of fabric while it is being attached to another (ungathered) layer. A ruffle can be made and attached in one operation. The amount of gathering can be adjusted by varying stitch length and needle thread tension. For heavier fabrics, the use of the long stitch or basting stitch will facilitate gathering. The distance between rows of gathering ranges from a minimum of 3/16″ (5mm) to a maximum of 3/8″ (10mm). For applications where exact control of the gathering ratio is required, consider the use of the Bernina® Ruffler (# 86).

TYPE A
Fits all the older Berninas from 530 to 1530 including the lastest 1008

TYPE B

Bernina Walking Foot

BERNINA WALKING FOOT

Bernina Walking Foot

Bernina Foot No 50

This foot is indispensable when additional control is needed to feed the project being sewn. In a tradition of continuous technical improvements, Bernina recently redesigned this Walking Foot.  It now includes two interchangeable soles, one designed for sewing with difficult or slippery fabrics and one designed for quilting. Use the “sewing” sole for sewing on leather, velvet, for matching plaids, etc. There are both 1/4″ and 1/8″ markings on the sole to serve as seam and cornering guides. Use the “quilting” sole when machine quilting. The new quilting sole has an “open toe” configuration to improve visibility when quilting. It also provides 1/4″ and 1/8″ markings to serve as seam and cornering guides. The back of the quilting sole is designed to reduce drag on the quilt, further promoting perfect feed.

Bernina Top Stitch/Cordonnet Foot

Add designer touches to your sewing with topstitching, using heavy threads in the needle. A 2mm groove in the sole of this foot allows heavier threads such as cordonnet and buttonhole twist to pass freely under the foot after the stitches are formed. The groove is gradually tapered away towards the back of the foot to promote good fabric control and facilitate the turning of curves. Use this foot also to couch heavier yarns or cords. The 5.5mm opening of this foot will accommodate many weights and textures of cord, yarn or thread. Other applications for this foot include Passementerie and Novelty covered wire (where satin stitching is sewn over wire to produce accents for wreaths, gift wraps and crafts.
