Brother Innovis 950

Brother Innovis 950
All in all the Brother Innovis 950 is a great little all rounder. As it is a sewing and embroidery machine that offers you a little bit of everything. A little bit of an embroidery machine and a little bit of a sewing machine.

It’s a good starting point for those that need both features and it won’t break the bank.

On the sewing side it has good range of stitches and features that include 129 stitches and 10 styles of buttonhole and they’re all the one-step type.
It’s also got a speed control which means you can slow the machine right down for the tricky bits.

On the embroidery side you can embroider and are 10cm x 10cm, which isn’t bad. And, the Brother Innovis 950 has a USB port which means you can upload embroidery designs using a memory stick.

So, all in all the Brother Innovis 950 is a great little all rounder.

Alterations Workshop

Celia Banks sewing workshops
At least half a dozen people a week walk into our shop and ask if we can shorten their trousers or fix a broken zip. An indication of the everyday need for an alterations service. People will always want their trousers taking up or letting down. A waistline taking in, or letting out…etc. etc. etc.
Anyway, Celia Banks, who runs a number of very popular sewing workshops in our classroom, has created a new course – an Alterations Workshop.
We’re sure it’s going to prove very popular not just for people who wish to learn how to alter their own clothes. But for those who are maybe thinking of setting up a small alterations business from home, Celia’s workshop may prove invaluable.
