Bernina Artistic Embroidery is usually the preserve of the more advanced textile designer. If you fall into this category of highly skilled professionals, then you will, no doubt, find the Bernina sewing & embroidery machines of interest. The Bernina precision and stitch quality are legendary throughout the industry. For commissioned embroidery work that requires high-end skill, you need a machine that matches your ambition, not to mention dedication.
In my experience, though other makes are excellent, the Bernina embroidery machine is by far the better solution for serious artistic embroidery work. Especially, but not only because the work can take so long to complete. In such cases, the Bernina shines. Its highly robust build quality, allied to a super-strong motor, means the machine will never tire – even at 2 in the morning when your ambition and creative drive push you on, along with the coffee.
I’ve seen some glorious work produced both with freehand and programmed Bernina machines.
