The Bernina 1008S bulb is a screw-in type rather than the bayonet push and twist type. There are cheaper bulbs but we supply the RIVA make of bulb because of the reliability and durability. In addition, when any of the hundreds of machines we service require a new bulb we use a RIVA bulb. Similarly, we supply the RIVA bulb to many textiles departments in schools and colleges across the UK.
