Brother PR670e Service in Leicester

The mission was a Brother PR670e service in Leicester. As it involved a late start, 8:30am, I breakfasted at home on porridge, toast and coffee. A ‘Full English’ is always a welcome visitor to my shore. But porridge makes the more sensible choice. Being 60 and no longer 17, some choices have to be made. I was almost 17 when I started work for Dad, back when he had the Deansgate shop. I was slim, spotty and fit, and a Full English would have been burned up by lunchtime…

Anyway. Back to the now. The previous Wednesday, Steve and I had collected a Brother PR670e from Lucy. She’d been in touch and booked a service on her machine. Our usual drill is to call out, collect, and return the PR model to our workshop. A full service ensues, including a phone call to the customer with a free estimate, and then we return the PR the following Wednesday. You can read some more details on our service and repair work by clicking here.

En route we made our usual pit stop at one of the motorway services. They offer the chance for a stretch of the legs and then a coffee from the flask. Steve and I always split the drive – whether it be Scarborough or Shoreham. We calculate the mileage and then split it by two, or four. It just depends on the distance. Makes life much more comfortable for us both – and we get the chance to chat about the shop and the business, and have a laugh along the way. Talking of having a laugh. I’ve included a photo of one of Steves favourite amusement rides, located at one of the services. He does love it…

We returned the PR670e to Lucy in Leicester. She has a nice workroom, upstairs. So Steve and I carried the machine up and into her room. Carefully does it, is our watchword – or three. Words, I mean. Anyway. All was good and everyone was happy. It was my turn to drive so I pointed the VW for home.
