Brother PR670e Repair in Cambridge. The lady embroidered workwear, and her call carried a tone of despair. Turned out she had bought her PR670e elsewhere, but they had let her down on the service & repair front. I suppose that is the reason why my dear brother, Stevie, and I travel the country each Wednesday.
Fear thee not, says I. For we shall collect, repair and return your embroidery machine.
She let out a small, almost tearful, chortle of relief.

Cambridge Embroidery Machine Repairs

A date was booked for the convenience of all.
And so it was that shortly after Steve and I made the journey down to Cambridge. We start early with a briefing of the journey ahead. Sandwiches and flasks of coffee are loaded into our VW van. The driving is split and shared, with breaks along the way. Steve and I enjoy the driving, the chatting and the laughing.

We collect, service and repair Brother PR embroidery machines in and around Cambridge — quickly, carefully, and with a smile.

We Make Anchor at Cambridge

Arriving at the lady’s unit on a farm reminded us of many of the locations we visit. Some are houses – semi’s, detached, large or small. Some are shops or kiosks within shopping centres. Others are units, on industrial estates or farms and the like. And of course, some are upstairs. I once delivered a new Brother multi-needle embroidery machine to a chap in London – the Elephant & Castle, in fact. He lived on the sixth floor – 12 flights of stairs.
Steve and I don’t mind if you’re machine lives upstairs, downstairs or out in a garden workshop.

Tea and Biscuits

It turned out that the lady had three embroidery machines – a Brother ten needle and two six needle models. The Brother PR670e in question hadn’t been serviced since she had bought it. Neither had the other two machines, in fact. And in the end, arrangements were made and we serviced all three. In the meantime, we were offered a pot of tea and a plate of chocolate biscuits. The type where some come in colourful foil wrappers.

Care and Respect

Tea drunk, biscuits scoffed and a nice chat over, Stevie and I took to our feet and carefully carried her PR670e out to our van. She followed us out and watched as Steve packed thick sheets of polystyrene around the machine. Just as an extra level of safety and protection.
Steve and I said our goodbyes and turned the van towards home.

Brother PR670e in Our Workshop

The lady’s PR670e sat on a bench in our workshop. All its covers removed, ready for all our checks and tests. They are thorough and many and we carry out the work from expertise learned and taught to us by our Father, many years ago. Every mechanism is cleaned and lubricated – using the correct grade of lubricant, I might add. Worn parts are replaced from stock. Considerations made about how long a part will last, before the machine is next serviced.
At the end, we phoned our customer with a free estimate. The lady kindly agreed.

Brother PR670e Returned from Service and Repair.

It is our custom to collect on a Wednesday, those Brother PR’s booked into our schedule for attention. Then to return them the following Wednesday. And so it was in this case. Butties were made, hot coffee poured into the flask and we set sail once more for Cambridge. We returned the PR670e to our Lady. She declared herself very happy.
