Sewing machine workshop
Although we have quite a large sewing machine workshop for all our private and school repairs, we were running out of rack space. This shot shows one of our private repair racks and as you can see – it’s overflowing onto the floor. And, I took this shot several weeks ago before we started collecting from schools & colleges.

Sewing machine racks
Maybe it’s the economy, or maybe it’s because of Gok Wan’s fashion programmes, but whatever the cause we have noticed an increase in people bringing their sewing machines in for repairs and service. Thank you Gok!
Anyway, I bought some more racks to hold the increasing numbers of sewing machine repairs. This new type is very sturdy and far easier to fix together than the old style bolt-together type.

Sewing machine storage
Fully loaded these racks each hold over 40 sewing machines, so they have to be up to the job. They’re not cheap, but they should last a very long time. Anything that will help us in our busy workshop is very welcome.

Sewing machine repairs
Quite soon I’ve built another row of racks and added storage for over a hundred more sewing machine repairs. Just in time for all the school and college sewing machine repairs that we bring in every summer. This year we’ve collected around 300 sewing machines from our regions schools and colleges. Phew!
